This view and the next one, give the impression that the building is on a hill. In my opinion, this feeling is given by the architect's talent to creatively play with the building's near by volumes. I see in the stairs more of a symbolic rather than a functional meaning. May be it relates to the institute's mission to push the human knowledge of the micro/macro universe to new frontiers.

Aceasta vedere, precum si urmatoarea, da impresia ca, cladirea este pe un deal. Opinia mea este ca impresia vine de la talentul arhitectului de a se juca creativ cu volumele apropiate cladirii. Eu vad in scari un sens mai mult simbolic decit functional. Poate ca e e legat de misiunea institutului de a impinge cunoasterea umana a micro/macro universului spre noi frontiere.
