Another million of customers under RIM's belt.

This spring brings very good news for RIM that just planted another row of 1 million BlackBerries in less than 6 months. That's around 5000 new BlackBerry owners per day!

With such a rapid pace, the target to grow from the current 3 million BlackBerry subscribers to 10 million, looks not like a fiction.

Encounters at the Kitchener Farmers Market.

On every Saturday there is something going on at the new Kitchener Farmers Market. If there is not a show then there is something else that catches your attention. This past Saturday two guests caught the market's attention:

It looks like the first guest likes sweets.

Believe it or not this guest was able to take the elevator to the next floor to get some sweets.

And he is master of his trade.

It looks like someone will become a happy owner of a nice helmet.

And with so many signs there is no chance to get lost in the market.

Quanta for IQC.

The Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) received last week another quantum boost with a donnation of 17 million dollars.

Besides quantum computing the new donnation will be used to support nanotechnology engineering research.

For a general introduction into quantum computing check the video stream of the Harnessing the Quantum World public lecture made by Raymond Laflamme about which I talked in this post.
