My 007 virtual experience.

Exploring the FLASH version of the GE Imagination At Work, Security site I found a cute and challenging 007 kind of game. I must to confess that I failed miserably in solving the puzzle.

This way I learned why Video IQ is a breakthrough GE technology, that never fails in 007 matters.

Meet me at the Crossroads of the World.

Virtually, I mean. I'll be "present" this month in Times Square, through some of my pictures.

Thanks to the GE Healthcare disease prevention campaign (started on April the 7th, the World Health Day) my pictures will join the other thousands that will be displayed during this month on the huge digital billboards at the crossroads of the world.

Prevention is easier than cure. This is the simple message that General Electric is sending to the world. Everybody willing to express their way to picture a healthy world is able to do it. My pictures of health are about enjoying the outdoors and nature's wonders.

Teleportation, Maple Syrup and Pancakes.

Last Saturday on April the 1st I was in a dilemma having to choose between a teleportation seminar at Perimeter Institute (PI) and pancakes at Elmira Maple Syrup Festival.

I've decided for the former hoping that if I go to the PI's seminar I have a chance to be fooled with a short teleportation to Elmira. I'm just kidding :) Even though teleportation experiments made serious progresses they are not so advanced.

As you see below I was not the only one interested to find out if teleportation is fact or fiction. I was able though to catch some late pancakes and maple candies. Click on this link to see my visual experience of the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival.

Chandelier Choir.

The Talking Light Bulb prank of the folks at GE Global Research was light indeed. I must to confess that I was fooled by it. I found it so cute that I silently passed it to you. In the meantime I was thinking that things that may look like a joke today could become reality tomorrow.

Take for example the Jules Verne stories. A guy with a rich imagination could have been easily fooled by Verne's stories and we all know that some of them are reality today. So I was thinking at different scenarios of "debates" in a Light Bulbs Democracy. On one hand we could say that any democratic intelligent debate involves some imaginary light bulbs as we usually associate a new idea with a sparkling light bulb.

On the other hand though it is no secret that we get surrounded by more and more intelligent devices day by day. Some companies are working together at ways to connect the devices as federations.

The days when light bulbs will join the federation could not be too far. What will they be able to do if they could "talk", besides the already presented scenarios and the whisper of Gotcha April Fools!:
- throw a surprise lights party and sing "Happy Birthday" (or other songs) in a "chandelier choir"
- transform a skyscraper into a giant singing and flickering Christmas tree
- learn room's activity and adjust automatically the light and sound ambiance.
- and who knows what else.

Light bulbs democracy.

Did you know that a group of light bulbs in a chandelier (like those in Catherine Palace) can potentially have intelligent debates? Check out this link to learn how.
